Walter’s at the Wheatsheaf is situated within the  picturesque rural  village of Badsey, nestled within the Vale of Evesham. Badsey is also ideally situated for visiting the Cotswolds. Walter’s at the Wheatsheaf opened in 2017 and operates in the Wheatsheaf Inn, run by expert Head Chef, Peter Zemla who prides himself on providing modern British food within an idyllic countryside setting, incorporating local produce from the Vale of Evesham within each menu. Guests can also enjoy international cuisine and fresh fish from Cornwall within our weekly-changing menus. Walter’s at the Wheatsheaf offers dining five nights a week from Wednesday to Sunday.

Welcome back!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Walter’s at the Wheatsheaf reopened on July 4th 2020! Please be rest assured that we have implemented further hygeine measures in accordance with the Government guidelines and that we will be ensuring that social distancing is taking place. 

As a result of this we will only allowing a limited number of bookings per evening and seating arrangements have been adapted to ensure that social distancing is achieved. Please note that we will only be taking bookings via the telephone and that no walk-in bookings are possible at this time.

PRIVATE DINING

Our Private Dining is now available again for single families wanting to make a group booking together. Have you missed your family during lockdown? Then why not book out our restaurant and enjoy it as a family in isolation. 

Head Chef Peter Zemla can cater for private dining for special occasions and events. The dining area of Walter’s at the Wheatsheaf can seat up to 30 guests and provides a relaxed setting for family celebrations, corporate dinners and dinner parties with friends. Please do let us know if you are celebrating an occasion when booking and we can provide extra touches to make your dining with us extra special, such as champagne or a celebration cake. 

DINING AT WALTER'S AT THE WHEATSHEAF

Walter’s at the Wheatsheaf offers an intimate dining setting within a relaxed rural countryside setting. When Peter Zemla opened Walter’s at the Wheatsheaf in Badsey, he bought with him a wealth of experience and an innovative approach to the restaurant.

In addition, to providing traditionally British dishes and Sunday lunches, he implemented a weekly-changing menu incorporating evenings of specialist cuisine from international destinations.

Furthermore, Peter sources the finest fish in the country which he imports freshly from the south coast of Cornwall on a weekly basis, in order to incorporate it into his much sought after fish dishes.
